The Flow & Magic in Donlon

In Donlon, we call it “the Flow”. And no muddy current of greyish brown is the Flow.
This body of water is pure and pristine.
Pure and imbued with an innate magic that grants the entire city an ambient arcana.

Flowater

The Flow is not just a river, it is the raw power of magic made liquid.
Falling into the Flow does not simply get you wet. Pete went in twice (once at the Bridge of Towers, once in the Songbird Docks fight) and was changed both times.

Pete's first immersion: Bridge of Towers
Rewired his awareness and understanding of his role in the world.
He was recovered quickly, but the change was permanent.
It showed up first in the Mobgoblin warehouse raid. his behaviour had become erratic enough that the Porcelain Police chose to leave him behind. 

Pete's second immersion: Songbird Docks
Pete jumped into the Flow gripping a Mobgoblin.
He took 7 points of Psychic damage. The Mobgoblin took 18 and began physically transforming (ears emerging from wrong places, trunk from a cheek, incredible pain).
Pete made a Wisdom saving throw of 7, he began to lose touch with his current consciousness, replicating the first accident.
He strode along the riverbed, Pirates of the Caribbean-style before jumping back out.

As a result of the second dip in the Flow, Pete can now teleport 30 feet as a Bonus Action until his rage ends, and can use it again each turn.

Flow-powered technology

This magic runs through the city in every drop of Flowater piped to every street and home.
It’s what grants flame to your fireplace with a simple finger snap.
It’s what draws your carriage galloping across the cobblestones with no colt or filly in the reins.
It’s what grants power to those that seize their fortunes by the collar and never let go.

Cillite Bombarda

A holy relic of Saint Bartholomew Scott. A powerful weapon, given by the Mudlarks to Carlos.
A sphere of roiling metallic liquid held in iron bands. It purifies everything within a five-foot radius.
It is explosive and radiant. It destroys all impurities it touches.

Auction lots

Next to the Black Tea, there are four more items at Mr. Tips' auction. Possibly with magical properties. 
 •      Goblin Hood's longbow and leather bracers, authenticated by Mr. Tips personally. Sold for 550,000 gold to a Street Genie bidder.
•       The Vorpal Sword, the legendary blade that slew the Jabberwock. A longsword. Sold for over 700,000 gold to Baby Churchill.
•       The emblazoned chest plate of Street Genie Omari Stormbank, silverwork and a cross on the front.
•       The twin pocket fireball, the partner weapon to Mr. Tips' own firearm.
