Summary Episode 3

Previously on:
The crew set off in a stolen armoured Mobgoblin carriage to deliver the Black Tea to a buyer in Hellsea.
They survived a Street Genie pursuit and were intercepted by Queenly Court centaurs Bronwyn and Caerdwen.
At the end of episode 2, the Twilight Twins, assassins of the Queenly Court of the Carnabal, had just arrived.

Summary:
The fight with the Twilight Twins is brutal and chaotic. The battle rolls across the roof, inside the cabin, and out through the doors as the carriage loses a wheel and begins screeching sideways across Poxhall Bridge. With the carriage heading for the bridge railing, Pete sees what is coming and calls it: they have to go over. Cheeky, badly wounded, grabs Carlos and throws them both through the door, landing on a passing barge below. The carriage goes over the side. Maureen and Pete go into the Flow. Pete teleports out of the sinking carriage, throws Rover onto the barge, then dives back in for Maureen. Underwater, Maureen sees Chlorine on the riverbed, hand outstretched, asking her to let go. Maureen refuses and swims up. Pete pulls her out.
The crew has escaped. For now.

The barge pilot is a shabby-looking human woman. Rover recognizes her. This is Susie, the partner he lost the night after getting cursed. She does not recognise him. He is a dog. She does not know this dog. Even showing her the locket does not help. Carlos demonstrates his own Disguise Self to show her what magic can do to a person, and explains that Danny has been cursed permanently. Susie is shaken but takes them as far as Loathe Square,  an underground stop near Hellsea.

In the Underground, the light from the Flow reflects off the sewer walls and begins to form images. The crew witnesses each other's memories.
- Pete sees himself as a young officer on patrol in the East End. A scrawny young orc tips them off about illegal tea traders. The orc is a young Billy Krag.
- Carlos sees his own recruitment by the Mudlarks. Vulpin gives him his first assignment: watch the Mobgoblin club across the street and record who enters.  The club is Esme's. This is the night Chlorine died.
 - Cheeky sees what he has always known but never fully faced: The Krag twins with blood on their hands, and an elven woman broken against the wall. He chose to believe Ian the Beetle did it.
- Maureen sees herself later that same night, alone in a closed bar with a bottle of whiskey. Fellow performers arriving. Among them: a small ratfolk woman named Ale, who steps forward with a slip of paper with many names. The Krag twins. Billy Krag. Cheeky Dustbins. Ale is Carlos's childhood companion, Alejandra.
She had a friend watching for the Mudlarks that night. She gave Maureen the list.

The memories fade. In the silence that follows, Maureen tells Cheeky he was there. Cheeky denies it. Carlos admits it. Carlos' double life is fully exposed. An argument follows. By the end of it: Carlos agrees to complete the mission, Cheeky hands over the Black Tea, and the crew reaches a fragile truce.

The crew surfaces in Hellsea at three in the afternoon, with three hours to spare. Rover leads them to The Rose Leaf on the corner. Their contact, Pelham, is a large pigeon in a frock coat. Pelham leads them through a hedge maze at the back of the shop and into the presence of the Tea King.

The Tea King is a tiefling named Percy Greenwood Tips. He is very interested in Pete's relationship with the Flow. He offers Pete and the others high quality Cathlon tea, far better than redwush. Except for Maureen, they drink. The tea is poisoned and they all are incapacitated. Percy pulls out a gun and tries to force Maureen to drink. He shoots Rover, and she gives in. He orders Pelham to burn down Thorough Market.
Percy does some stress testing on Pete. He opens Pete's face and pours in boiling Flowwater and additional tea sachets. Pete goes back to factory settings.
He orders Pete to burry Rover, and to move the rest of the incapacitated crew to the shed. He puts a seed in their mouths, which start growing immediately. Percy leaves.

John Nipples, who had been hiding unnoticed, drags himself across the floor to Cheeky, and scratches him awake.  It breaks the spell. Cheeky pulls a half-grown plant shoot from his own throat, they wake the others. The crew is free, except for Pete.

Pete is under the influence of the  He has been given the Geas spell. His command is to keep the others down. Carlos casts Command, 'Betray', and channels the Flow through himself. His command is stronger than Geas.  Pete's new directive: betray the one who cast the spell.

Carlos uses Locate Object to find the Black Tea. It is at Sinkenton Park Palace. They decide to split. Cheeky, Maureen, and Pete head to Sinkenton Park Palace. Carlos goes to the Mudlarks.

Maureen talks their way past security as the headline entertainment. Tomorrow, at Sinkenton Park Palace, Percy will auction off the Black Tea for five million gold. The crème de la crème of Donlon will be there, including the Krag Twins. They find an empty room to spend the night. Pete goes down into the sewers to find Carlos.

Carlos is with Vulpin. He delivers his report: the Tea King's name is Percy Greenwood Tips. He tells Vulpin about the auction tomorrow.  Carlos sends a message "Send Forces".
